Princeton:
I am a Princeton Tiger, a member of the Great Class of 1970, and I have regular occasion to visit my alma mater. Unless I am invited to eat with friends or am attending a dinner with friends, I make every effort to eat at a favorite restaurant since undergraduate days, a restaurant which is located a stone's throw from the FitzRandoph Gates.
The Annex

The Annex was a venerated and cherished Princeton institution when I was an undergraduate at the University. Down a long flight of stairs in the basement of Nassau Street commercial building almost directly opposite Firestone Library, this large pine paneled room with gingham covered tables offers solid, old-fashioned, straight-forward "American" fare, as well as an impressive array of European veal dishes, at prices that seem impossibly low at the beginning of the 21st century.
The Annex is also a place where town and gown truly mix, and it is not unusual to see Princeton professors rubbing shoulders with construction workers.
A national treasure!
